FAQs

How much does it cost?

Our 60-minute axe-throwing experience is just $29.99 per person. Got a group of 12 or more? Great news—we offer group rate discounts! Select more than 12 throwers for all the details.

For groups of 17 or more, we’re thrilled to offer you the entire venue for a private axe-perience, with no other groups around except for those wrapping up or just getting started.

Will there be training?

Absolutely! Our certified coaches will kick things off by demonstrating proper safety and axe-throwing techniques during your first few throws. They’ll stick around (pun intended) throughout the experience to answer questions and help you hit that bullseye like a pro.

Do you have alcoholic drinks?

Yes, come on in and enjoy up to 2 drinks while you're throwing! Once you're done, feel free to grab more and relax. We've got a great selection of local beers and seltzers waiting for you!

How old do you have to be?

All ages are welcome at Sea Axe!

Kids 8 and older can throw with a parent or guardian’s permission. If our coaches feel a minor isn’t quite ready to throw safely, they may not be allowed to participate. For kids under 8, we offer one-on-one training during slower times, with a parent or guardian present. To book a session for a thrower under 8, just give us a call at (253)-737-5942!

What do I need to bring when I come?

All you need to bring is a pair of closed-toe shoes—but don’t worry if you forget, we’ve got you covered with loaner shoes at no extra cost!

Can I fill out the waivers online?

Yes you can just click here!

Is it safe?

We’re proud to say we’ve had zero axe-cidents to date! Well, except for the occasional splinter from touching the wood or someone grabbing the blade instead of the handle (it happens!). At Sea Axe, safety is our top priority, and we’ve designed the safest axe-throwing venue around.

Here’s how we do it:

  • Fully enclosed cages to keep axes where they belong.

  • Anti-bounce barriers for extra peace of mind.

  • Safer wood-handled axes, which are less prone to bouncing compared to rubber-handled metal ones.

  • The best wood known to man for sticking axes—minimizing those pesky bounce-backs.

Can I bring my own food or drinks?

You're more than welcome to bring your own food, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy during your visit! For group events, we also have a list of axe-ceptional preferred catering vendors to make your experience even better.

How do our digital games work, and do we use real axes?

At SEA AXE, we only throw real axes at real wood—none of that fake stuff here! What sets us apart is our awesome digital game system. We overlay interactive games right onto the wood, so you can throw axes at zombies, play axe-powered duck hunt, tic-tac-toe, and so much more. It’s axe-throwing with a high-tech twist!

Can I rent the whole place?

Absolutely! You can rent the whole place for your private event. Book directly by clicking here, or feel free to call us at (253)-737-5942 or email us at info@seaaxe.com to set up an unforgettable axe-perience!

Do we have Knife Throwing?

Yes! We offer a wide range of professional-grade throwing knives for you to enjoy—at no additional charge!

Cancellation Policy

To secure your reservation, a deposit is required. Here’s how our cancellation policy works:

  • Standard Reservations (less than 10 people):

    • You can cancel up to 48 hours prior to your event for a full refund.

    • Between 48 and 24 hours, we can reschedule your event if needed.

    • Under 24 hours, your event is locked in. While we’ll do our best to accommodate same-day rescheduling if availability allows, it’s not guaranteed.

  • Large Groups (10 or more people):

    • The cancellation window for large groups is one week prior to the event.

Important Notes:

  • Cancellations outside of the policy window will result in a forfeited deposit.

  • If fewer people show up than booked, you won’t be charged for no-shows unless the number of lanes reserved exceeds what your group size requires. Each lane accommodates up to 5 throwers. For example, if you book for 8 throwers (2 lanes) but only 4 people attend, you’ll be charged for a minimum of 6 throwers to account for the reserved lanes.

We’re here to make your experience as smooth as possible, so if you have any questions or need help, give us a call!

Can I bring my own axe/knife?

If you're an experienced thrower and have an axe that's safe, well-made, and specifically designed for throwing, we’d be happy to inspect it. If it meets axe-throwing regulations, you’re good to go! However, if it’s your first time throwing and you’re planning to bring an old axe from the garage, unfortunately, that won’t be allowed.

Throwing knives must meet WKTL knife standards, which you can review here.

How good do you need to be to join Axe League?

Everyone is welcome to join our league, regardless of skill level! In fact, it's one of the best ways to improve your axe-throwing skills. Our league is designed for people who simply want to throw axes every week and have a great time—no need to be a pro. It's super beginner-friendly, and most participants join because they love throwing axes and having fun, not because they're experts!
